Factory Social greases the wheels and launches Social Media for Business 2015
So much has happened since Factory Social was put to bed while its carers pursued other social media commitments. But now we’re back and ready to take social media by storm.
We’ve been networking, studying, planning, researching, experiencing and bringing all our knowledge to factory social.Factory Social are a social media hub and we know what works. If your social media efforts look like they’ve been abandoned then Factory Social can dust you off and increase your social media productivity.
So much in the social media has become an integral part of business marketing. It’s a long way since Factory Social was launched from a kitchen table conversation and some hasty scribble in London back in 2012. Original founder Aiden Chambers has found pastures new. Calum Brannan has been working on the SoMe Academy, Click Hello and entrepreneurial endeavours. While Vivienne Neale has been a social media consultant, speaker, trainer and writer and now alumni of the Google backed Squared course.
We caught up with Calum and Vivienne over coffee and cakes in West London.
Q: What made you resurrect Factory Social? Why is there a need for another social media agency?
CB: We’ve been involved in all aspects of social media training from customer service to brand management and even copyright education alongside BAPLA. We have amassed so much knowledge and wanted to bring that back into the arena and deal with bigger clients.
VN: Our experience is vast. It was a shock really when we undertook an inventory of skills. Social media has morphed from a curio into a must-have marketing tool. Not only that but changes occur daily and an agency who are prepared to undertake the research to give their clients up to the minute advice and good practice is worth employing. We knew the time was right for Factory Social to re-emerge.
Q: What stands out about Factory Social’s offering?
CB: It’s our depth and breadth of experience. We have worked with some big companies but also understand the frustration of solo entrepreneurs and SME’s who want a social media presence but don’t have the time to develop it.
VN: At Factory Social we really do offer bespoke solutions. Engagement is our strength and we don’t much like scheduled posts as the one stop solution that many agencies favour. We’re keen on developing personality, original posts and a more leftfield approach. We live, breathe and dream social media
